Logging in to the app

To log in to the app, do one of the following:

  • If you already completed the steps in Signing up for Blumira to add your organization to Blumira, proceed with the login option you chose during account creation.

  • If you received an emailed invitation to join an existing Blumira account and log in, do the following:
    1. Click Confirm my account in the email invitation you received.
    2. In the Set or Reset Password window, type a password for your Blumira login credentials.
    3. Click Set password.
    4. Go to app.blumira.com and click Log in.
    5. Type your Blumira login credentials and click Log in.

      Important
: Invited users logging in for the first time who plan to use Microsoft social login must set a Blumira password and complete extra authentication steps, including linking accounts, before using the Microsoft login option. The email address in Blumira must also be the same as the Microsoft email address; otherwise, you will experience errors.

    6. Choose an option for multi-factor authentication and then follow the prompts to complete MFA with one of the available options (e.g., push notification, fingerprint, or security key).
    7. Accept the Blumira Terms of Use.

  • If you have previously logged in and have set up MFA, you have the following options:
    • If you forgot your password, click Set or reset my password, and then follow the directions to reset the password and log in.
    • If your MFA is not working, contact your account administrator, who can reset your MFA for you in User Settings.
Note: To practice strong security standards, we recommend that Administrators reset MFA for their Blumira account users instead of requesting a reset from Blumira Support. If you are an administrator for Blumira Free edition and need help resetting MFA for your account, contact us with "MFA Reset" in the subject line.
    • To use the Microsoft social login option with Blumira, click Continue with Microsoft on the login page and link your accounts in Auth0 Guardian.
    • If your account Administrator has configured one of the SAML-supported single-sign on (SSO) options for your Blumira account, you can proceed with SSO using the configured identity provider.
Note: SAML SSO is available in SIEM+ and XDR Platform editions. For more information about enabling SAML SSO in a supported account, see Configuring SSO for your organization.
