Integrating with JumpCloud

Overview

Blumira’s modern SIEM platform integrates with JumpCloud to ingest data so it may be displayed in the report viewer. This integration is currently an ingestion-only connector that fulfills compliance requirements for many organizations.

Once configured, Blumira’s integration with JumpCloud will stream event logs from the JumpCloud system so companies can view the authentication logs of their users, the changes that JumpCloud administrators are making, and troubleshoot JumpCloud issues when they occur.

Before you begin

Before you begin, you need to gather your API Key from JumpCloud to use in the Blumira Cloud Connector.

To gather your API Key, do the following:

  1. Log in to JumpCloud Admin Portal as an Administrator or Command Runner.
  2. Click your account initials in the top-right of the screen.
  3. In the drop-down menu that appears, click My API Key.
  4. If you haven’t generated an API key yet, click Generate New API Key and complete the steps.

Important: API Keys are only displayed at the time they are created. Make sure to store it in a secure place, like JumpCloud’s Password Manager so you can access it when you need it.

If you are an MSP with multiple organizations in JumpCloud, you must also provide the Org ID with the API Key for each account. To gather the Org ID, do the following:

  1. In the JumpCloud Admin Portal, navigate to Settings > Organization Profile > General.
  2. Copy the Organization ID.

Configuring the Blumira Cloud Connector

Cloud Connectors automate the configuration of your integrations without requiring you to use a sensor. After you obtain your integration's configuration parameters, you can then enable Blumira to collect your logs.

To configure the Blumira Cloud Connector:

  1. In the Blumira app, navigate to Settings > Cloud Connectors.
  2. Click + Add Cloud Connector.
  3. In the Available Cloud Connectors window, click the connector you want to add.
  4. In the Cloud Connector Name box, type a name to help identify the specific integration.
  5. Enter the credentials that you collected in the previous steps.
  6. Click Connect.
